7 tips for Disaster Preparedness
- Have a plan
Planning for a disaster is very important. Everyone in your family should be aware of the disasters and calamities that can happen. Everyone should know what to do during any disaster. What if there is a gas leak in your house or what will you do in the case of ruptured water pipe? In every home there should be a fire extinguisher on each level of the house. Real-life scenarios are different from the expected scenarios. You keep all your preparation simple. Keep your bug out bags small and helpful. Don’t keep things which are of no use in a disaster.
Keep your emergency kits in a place where is easily reachable. You should know what things you will need in case of an emergency. You should be aware of what disasters are likely to be happening in your area as not every area will have a flood or not every place will have an earthquake. Prepare yourself according to the place you live. Be prepared and help your neighbor to get prepared for a disaster.
